For the October 7th 16mm shoot, my group (me, Yana, Suzanne, and Zahed) shot in the amphitheater between Gershwin and Whitman hall. Not as great an idea as I'd originally thought. In the morning, the majority of the location was covered in shadow (also very cold), and in the afternoon, there was a little more light, but we had to chase it all over the area. Here's what it looked like when we started out on my half of the shoot. We are very serious... Also if you're wondering why that guy in the back is holding up a reflector like that, apparently the sunlight was streaming into the viewfinder and Zahed couldn't see stuff right. Here I am using a light meter to measure the light hitting my actor's face. For the entire morning shoot we used an analog light meter to measure the light... and that ended in possible tragedy. We got it right for the second shoot, but... ...the shadows kept moving! Argh.

Chasing the light wasn't fun, you technical people had the hard time.
We the actors had fun.

Haha, well, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I hope you have as much or more fun when we eventually reshoot.

I think that the experience helped us to see what we should not do next time. It was a learning experience for me, I learned a lot that day. Besides the cold weather, towards the end of the day, I started to have alot of fun. The actors were great, and they looked great too. The two directers worked really hard on their projects and were ready to work. The AC also worked hard and mayed sure that he listened to the directer's instructions.

Hey Suzanne! Yay, you joined! I'm glad you found the experience useful. Hopefully the footage is useful, too. :-P
We should definitely make sure to be dressed warmly next time. I was wearing like five layers and I was still cold. You can never be too prepared!

Yeah it was really cold in the morning, but when it came time to do your shoot I was in the sun and I could shun my jacket. Hopefully if we have to reshoot I can drop my jacket again...
