I hope that poll grabbed your attention.
Anyway, minus the first movie, so far the officers have been selecting the films we've been watching at the screenings. Which I'm sure no one minds terribly since they've been good movies. But everyone should still pitch in and make suggestions for future screenings.
Personally, I'd like to see something funnier and/or campier/cheesier. A couple of ideas that come to mind include Forbidden Zone, Clash of the Titans, Plan 9 From Outer Space.
Okay, those are mostly cheesy, but I'm sure there are some classy, highly acclaimed comedies we could watch.
Anyway, have at it!

How 'bout some Russ Meyer? I saw that the film library has Motor Psycho, I haven't seen that one, but I'm always down to see Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill! again.
How 'bout some noir? Out of the Past, Asphalt Jungle, or Double Indemnity.
Actually, Jarmusch's Down By Law would be sick to see.

We should screen a John Waters film. My favorite is Desperate Living. YOU ARE NOW THE PROUD OWNER OF RABIES!

HEAR YE! HEAR YE!New semester means more movie screenings! We want your suggestions! And fast! Our goal is to have a full schedule by Monday. So get cracking! Here are some ideas from Sal: battle of algiers, passion of joan of arc (dreyer's), fast, cheap, and out of control, once upon a time in the west, any bunuel... I want to watch A Streetcar Named Desire, even though we've all probably seen it already. The power is yours!

I'll make some more suggestions to get the ball rolling:
-Lord of the Rings (Alex suggested we screen all three in a row; impossible but a whimsical idea nonetheless) -The Machinist (Christian Bale is manorexic in this one!) -Empire of the Sun (Christian Bale is a kid in this one!) -Something with zombies

I was thinking about that, but I'm pretty sure it'll be shown in the Kubrick class, which would lead to half the active members not showing up for the screening.

The Honeymoon Killers Torn Curtain Down By Law All Quiet On The Western Front Closely Watch Trains (anyone ever hear of this one? It's Czech) The Hustler Un chien andalou (Heard this was a good Bunuel) Mulholland Drive
I'd be down with Streetcar, I never saw that one.

There Will Be Blood Amadeus The Good The Bad and The Ugly Sunshine Jurassic Park The Dark Knight (yeah I said it)
These are the film that I can think of right now that would be fun to watch on the big screen with a lot of people.
